Warrior and poet Maksym Kryvtsov (call sign “Dali”) was granted the designation Hero of Ukraine following his death. The related presidential order appeared on Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s official website.
“For individual valor and heroism displayed in the defense of Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with unwavering service to the Ukrainian people, I decree: award the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star to Maksym Oleksandrovych Kryvtsov – combat participant (posthumously),” the text states.

From 2016 until 2019, he served in the National Guard. The man rejoined the army following Russia’s full-scale assault, assuming the position of a machine gunner within the Special Operations Forces.
